Why should I store my wine in a wine warehouse?
To make good wine, you need a winegrower who has a lot of experience with the cultivation in the vineyard and the vinification in the cellar. He gives his vines just as much support as they need so that the grape berries get the maximum strength and flavor. The best winemakers also do the minimum or nothing at all in the cellar in order to beautify and develop the wine. In short, they rely on the terroir and leave the wine to it.
Such wines, whether white or red, often need a lot of time. With an optimal wine storage climate, they develop considerably over the years and become better.
Optimal wine storage climate
For us humans, 25° in the shade is usually the ideal average temperature at which we feel comfortable. However, if you leave your wine to these temperatures, it will not enjoy it very much and you will enjoy it even less later. Above all, wine storage temperatures that are too high but also fluctuate greatly can have a very negative effect on the wine, if not even ruin it. Other negative influences are too low humidity and odor emissions. From our experience, we can state that the storage conditions for wine in residential buildings are very rarely optimal.
The advantages of a professional wine storage
In our wine storage facility, the conditions are ideal for your wine. A constant temperature of 14° and humidity of at least 55% prevail all year round. This allows your valuable wines to mature slowly and under controlled conditions in a professional cellar. The wine is given the opportunity to reach optimal maturity and thus offer you maximum enjoyment.
High-quality wines are often only affordable when they have just come on the market. If you buy the wines matured from the merchant, they are much more expensive. On average, high-quality wines increase in value by around 10% per year.
CO2 compensated
For the sake of the environment, we compensate our energy consumption and have therefore decided to have a tree planted every month for every rented wine storage compartment. At full capacity, this amounts to over 2000 trees per year and a positive balance of 25 tonnes of CO2. Thus we reduce the CO2 footprint of our company including its employees to zero.
